A South Pearl Street institution for over 40 years, The Neighborhood Vets at Washington Park carries forward the legacy of the beloved Washington Park Veterinary Clinic under a new name and an energized new ownership team: Drs. Kelsey Davies, Sarah Schroeder, and Sarah Engmark, three women who purchased the practice in July 2024 and have since expanded its technology, services, and specialist access while preserving everything that made it a neighborhood fixture. Dr. Davies (Ohio State DVM, Low Stress Handling certified) is known for her exceptional skill with anxious and stressed pets; Dr. Schroeder (Kansas State DVM, rotating internship in Tucson) is a Certified Canine Rehab Therapist and Certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist with a decade of Denver practice behind her; and Dr. Engmark (also an Ohio State DVM, RECOVER certified) brings deep experience across private practice and emergency medicine with particular interests in minimally invasive surgery, dentistry, and senior care. Services span wellness exams, sick and urgent care, surgery, dentistry, laparoscopy, acupuncture, rehabilitation, pain management, and access to board-certified specialists in cardiology, orthopedics, internal medicine, and advanced surgery — all available right in the familiar clinic on Pearl Street, Monday through Friday.
