Pilina Vet

A modern small animal hospital in Kailua's Enchanted Lake neighborhood founded by Dr. Sara Federschmidt (University of Florida DVM with high honors, former U.S. Navy P-3C Naval Flight Officer) and husband Franz (CEO). They met while stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii over a decade ago and returned to Kailua to launch the practice during the pandemic. The name "Pilina" is the Hawaiian word for connection, reflecting their philosophy that animals are ohana. State-of-the-art facility with in-house labs, X-ray, surgical suite, laser therapy, and advanced genetic mapping.
