Brentwood Animal Hospital

A small, one-doctor, family-owned practice on North Palafox Street, Brentwood Animal Hospital has served Pensacola pets and pet parents for more than 45 years. Dr. Todd Burnett has been in practice since 1994 and has owned the hospital since 2002, and he takes visible pride in the tenure and experience of his staff. The approach centers on effective, comprehensive preventative care — treating issues before they become real problems — with wellness visits, dental care, nutrition counseling, microchipping, diagnostics, surgery, dermatology, laser therapy, emergency treatment, and boarding filling out the offering. Community work runs deep and specific: the hospital partners with Animal Allies, spaying, neutering, and treating the feral cats that group traps as well as the ones they adopt out, supporting a Trap-Neuter-Return mission aimed at reducing the more than 12,000 animals put down annually in the Florida Panhandle. Dr. Burnett also serves on the board of Friends in Survival and Hope, a nonprofit providing financial assistance to families facing terminal illness. Learning something new every day and passing it on so owners feel empowered is how the practice frames its purpose.
