Opened in the spring of 2000 by Drs. Matthew and Julie on a quiet wooded parcel across from Lake Michigan, Bayshore Animal Hospital is still right where it started twenty-five years later — still independently owned, still led by its founders. Serving Charlevoix, Petoskey, Boyne City, and the surrounding Northern Michigan communities, the practice cares for both year-round locals and the seasonal visitors who fill this destination region, which is a distinctly Up North reality most clinics don't have to plan around. Care spans wellness visits and vaccinations, sick visits, parasite prevention, allergies and dermatology, internal medicine, dental care, spay and neuter, surgery, radiology, lab and diagnostics, pain management, microchipping, senior pet wellness, and urgent care. Listening is named as the foundation of the whole approach — taking time to understand concerns, communicate findings clearly, and meet families where they are emotionally, financially, and practically.
