Washington Animal Hospital

Established in 1984 by Dr. Grodkiewicz to serve all creatures great and small, Washington Animal Hospital has spent more than 35 years caring for Warren and Hunterdon County families, gradually narrowing its focus to dogs and cats along the way. The founder graduated with honors from Rutgers before earning his doctorate at Cornell, and he's joined by Dr. Bridget Sikkes — a Warren County native and North Warren High School graduate who came up through Cornell for her undergraduate degree, the University of Kentucky for a master's, and Penn for her VMD, joining the hospital as a veterinary student and staying on after graduation. Services cover wellness exams and vaccinations, parasite prevention and control, microchipping, surgery and dental care, senior care, pain management, and a fully stocked pharmacy with prescription diets. Diagnostics run through an in-house laboratory plus radiology and ultrasound. DNA breed testing is an unusual offering, giving mixed-breed owners insight into their dog's genetic makeup and the health predispositions that come with it.
