One of the older continuously operating practices in Corvallis. Dr. Ross Miller and his wife Elaine opened it in 1968 as a mixed large and small animal facility on what was then the rural north edge of town — the city has since grown around it. The building was expanded in 1972 and remodeled in 2004. Dr. Ann Weston (OSU/WSU combined program) joined as an associate and purchased the practice in 1996; the Millers stayed on staff through 1997. Under Weston the focus has shifted predominantly to small animals while retaining equine and exotic capabilities — the OVMA lists avian, companion animal, equine, exotics, and food animal under her credentials, as well as progressive equine dentistry. Dr. Castor's trajectory is a good staff story: started here as a technician, stayed over a decade, left to get her DVM, and came back as a veterinarian. Open six days a week including Saturday mornings.
