A woman-owned and operated practice on Cascade Avenue in Hood River, Arrowleaf Veterinary was founded by Dr. Daphne Johnson — a veterinarian who spent six years practicing in the Columbia River Gorge before opening her own clinic, built around the belief that pets live their best lives when their owners feel truly empowered and informed. Joining her as a partner since 2023 is Dr. Michelle Morelos, who has practiced in the Gorge and Portland since 2014 and brings particular depth in chronic disease management, dentistry, ultrasonography, and geriatric care. The support team is every bit as thoughtfully assembled — including a veterinary assistant with seven years of experience at Columbia Gorge Cat Rescue and large spay/neuter clinic work in rural Mexico, and a Hood River County native who grew up raising animals on her family’s farm. Services span dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, chronic disease management, preventive wellness, and end-of-life support, all delivered in a Fear Free environment open Monday through Friday.
